The brief.
Mike had a site that had sat there for four years and brought in a handful of leads in all that time. The business does far more than the site let on. He supplies and fits commercial kitchen equipment, fabricates stainless steel to order, repairs, plans kitchens and bars, and arranges leasing. None of that was reaching anyone who wasn't already looking for him by name.
The work.
A new site built around what he actually sells, with the fabrication and repair sides given real pages of their own instead of a line on a services list. Every page written for a search someone genuinely makes, with the location signals, headings and structured data in place from the first page rather than added later.
But the thing the site is really built around is Mike. His knowledge and his reputation are the whole business, and they're the one thing the national suppliers can't copy. They can undercut him on a price list all day. They can't answer the phone and tell you what will actually work in your kitchen. So the site leads with that rather than burying it under stock photography, because the alternative is competing on price, and that's a race to the bottom Mike has no interest in running.
Then the work that keeps it visible. The Google Business Profile optimised properly and kept that way, the blog written to answer the questions his customers ask, and his social managed so the same story is being told everywhere someone might look.
The result.
The new site brought in more enquiries in its first few weeks than the old one had in four years, and it didn't drop off. It kept climbing.
The reach went with it. Mike now covers most of Fife, up as far as Dundee, across into Edinburgh and down to North Berwick. An enquiry even came in from Grimsby, well over two hundred miles away, from someone who found the business through an AI answer.
The leads still come in regularly. Mike asks new customers how they found him, and enough of them say his website through Google that he's taken to recommending Power On when the subject comes up.
